Tram mountain tourist area is located about 25km away from the center of Hanoi and quickly becomes a place to explore nature, a famous tourist destination in the suburbs with a famous temple complex. Tram Mountain, also known as Tu Tram Mountain, is located in Phung Chau commune, Chuong My, Hanoi. The three pagodas here are named Tram Pagoda, Hang Pagoda and Tram Vo Vi Pagoda.

1. When should you go to Tram mountain?
The best time to travel to Tram mountain is at the end of March or early April because it is cool and a little rain at this time, so it is easy to climb the mountain and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, in this month you can also see the white flowers of fragrant rosewood blooming in the mountain area, and the red rice flowers blooming in April too.
If you love festivals and the bustling atmosphere, you can choose the 2nd day of the second lunar month - when Tram Pagoda festival is held.
Should I go to Tram mountain 2 days 1 night or travel to Tram mountain 1 day? If you have a need for night camping, 2 days and 1 night are enough, otherwise, you should only visit for 1 day or half a day because this area is quite small and does not take too much time to discover.

2. How to get to Tram mountain
The road to Tram mountain is quite spacious and easy to go, you can completely go there by car and motorbike (almost the roads are mainly national highways). You can use Google Maps for directions to easily go to Tram Mountain. There are basically 3 ways to go:
- Depart from Khuat Duy Tien intersection, go in the direction of Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu street, go through Yen Nghia bus station, cross Mai Linh bridge to Bien Giang ward, do not go out the inner city, turn right when seeing the signboard of Hanoi University of Sports and Education. Going about 5km, you will see Tram mountain in the territory of Phung Chau commune, Chuong My district, Hanoi.
- From Big C Thang Long, you go straight along the avenue down to Song Phuong dike, then you go through the tunnel under the boulevard to go to Dao Nguyen dike. Crossing Tan Phu Bridge across Day River, go through Dai Thanh to the end of Phung Chau, you will reach Tram Mountain.
- Go straight along To Huu street to Yen Nghia dike, then turn left, then go straight to Highway 6. Going this road you will pass by Van Phuc silk village. Follow Highway 6 across Mai Linh bridge until there is a signboard of Hanoi University of Pedagogy and Sports, then turn in. Going about 5km, you will see Tram mountain.
If going by bus, you can take bus number 27, 57, 72 or 80. You tell the staff to drop off at Vuc Ninh, from here take a motorbike taxi to Tram mountain (about 2km).

Now, traveling to Tram mountain is free, you just need to pay for parking at the restaurant at the foot of the mountain (about 5,000 - 10,000 VND/car).

Tram Mountain
Although Tram mountain is not too high, it is dotted with many craggy and dangerous cliffs creating a huge rock valley with countless interesting shapes. You can discover the charm of each rock formation during the hike.

The unique feature of Tram mountain is also the rocky trails stretching from the foot to the top of the mountain. You can freely admire the blooming flowers dotted with the undulating white cliffs on the cliffs. All blends in the fanciful misty sky to create a charming and poetic beauty. Far away are vast green rice fields and simple, rustic, very peaceful small houses.

If you want to camp in Tram mountain, you should rent a tent and bring food and BBQ from Hanoi... because around this area there are very few places to rent and the price is not good. But note that you should bring a garbage bag and clean the campsite.

Tram Pagoda
Tram Pagoda is not only a sacred place but also a place that tourists do not miss every time they come to Tram mountain. In the tourist area of Tram mountain, Tram pagoda is the main temple which is built in 1669. The area of the temple is not too large, but it has a spacious yard with many ancient trees to make the scenery more beautiful, pure and dignified.

Hang temple
At the foot of Tu Tram mountain, Hang Pagoda is located in the Long Tien cave system with a special architectural design. Hang Pagoda stores 20 poems praising the majestic beauty of Tram mountain carved on cliffs and bronze bells.
The pagoda is located next to the main pagoda, owns the natural terrain at the foot of the mountain - a large cave 7m wide with a gate up to 3m high. The roof of the cave that is the mountain peak is about 40m high, looking up from inside of the cave, it is like a small skylight with water flowing along the cliff gradually forming a sparkling stalactite block.

Tram Vo Vi Temple
Located about 1km away from Hang Pagoda and Tram Pagoda is an equally famous temple in this ecological area, which is Vo Vi Pagoda. This is the most unique of the three temples here because it was built based on the terrain of the mountain.
